Create Repository and Start Tracking files

In order to track files, you need to designate the storage position for those revisions.

And you can do this by select the folder you want to track, click mouse's right button, launch a "Create Repository" Wizard Window.

After that, you will notice the two new icons has been attached to the folder and its subfolders, files. These icons state the status of files or folder, such as, modified.

 

Track And Save Files manually or Automatically

FileLog will not commit the new revision to its repository at default. The reason is FileLog do not know if the revision is worthy to you. and this mechanism prevents rubbish revision submissions.

For Tracking and Saving file revision automatically, You can track those that you want and click mouse's righ button, select "Auto Commit":

This tells FileLog to add revisions to repository automatically as the file being modified.

 

View and Restore File Revisions

To go back to the old revisions of a file, choose Version Explorer in the context menu:

You can retrieve a certain version and replace the current one. Or you can recover the version to a specific place. You can open the version before restoring.

 

Repository Explorer

You can explorer all the files in one repository by opening the Repository Eplorer. All the files' revisions including deleted files are listed in this place. you can retrieve files massively in this window. And moreover, if a file is deleted and you want to retrieve back. You can find all the revisions of your deleted files in Repository Explorer, and they are marked red:
